About Us Philosophy Background Current Involvement Soccer Waza LLC was founded by Dominic and Mario Scicluna in response to the rising demand for high quality professional trainers and educators of the game of soccer. Due to soccer's fast growing popularity among youth sport clubs in the United States, the Scicluna brothers created a company designed to meet this interest. This company, Soccer Waza LLC. has grown to be one of the leading soccer training companies in the world. Soccer Waza LLC is now one of the largest soccer training company's based in the state of Michigan, was developed with the distinct philosophy of a higher level of awareness through this, fulfilling game. The Waza methodology of positive play has assisted thousands in their athletic prowess and development.
One of the origins of the philosophy that technique is an important aspect of life can be traced to every culture around the world. The term "Waza" means technique in the ancient Japanese language. Our Soccer Waza training has evolved into a fully integrated body of wisdom that evokes the highest qualities of life, through the game of soccer. Waza is a combination of various philosophies and disciplines. The Waza Masters teach the creative spirit that brings together the mind, body and soul, helping the student of life achieve his/her innermost visions. We believe in implementing actualization through visualization because he/she WHO FEELS IT, KNOWS IT. It is this internal intuitive feeling/knowing that brings about realization. The physical body is disciplined, conditioned, and coordinated with and without the ball. These teachings build upon one another. Reconditioning misconceptions and bad skills is essential for attaining good Waza to bring about new approach to life through soccer. We teach a "formless form", rediscovering "thinking without thinking", which is intuitively acting by being concentrated in the present moment. This step-by-step process brings forth an abundance of goals. The Soccer Waza training superimposes ancient wisdom with scientific knowledge of technique. This allows spirals of logic and creativity to connect and unify the untapped regions of the mind fy fine-tuning the inner ear to the whispering voice of the Higher Self, naturally. Good Waza is where eastern and western, northern and southern soccer styles merge into one. The integration of concentration through meditation and Zen breathing techniques help settle the restless mind, which releases utmost potential through increased concentration. Waza is a symbolic term, we use as a means of communicating the truth in life and reminder to work towards good technique in everything we do. We were born into a family whose roots were founded in the ways of soccer. Our family came from Malta and settled in Detroit, bringing with them this exciting sport. So from an early age, we began the journey to becoming masters of the ball. People sought us out for our family tradition of expertise.

Our company's flexibility works with people according to their commitment to excellence and economic situation. We have vast resources of knowledge, skills and contacts that give us a unique ability in providing an accelerated learning environment. It is our aim to implement our trainers into already existing programs or develop new ones. Mid-West Over 50 trainers take part in the Soccer Waza program competing on 7 different professional teams including MLS (Major League Soccer) Columbus Crew, 2x National final four Mid Michigan Bucks. We currently train in over 50 soccer clubs whereas each club contains 5-25 teams with 12-18 persons per team. Held 30 camps, placed Waza trainers in 20 non-Soccer Waza LLC. administered camps, 5 Coaches Clinics & were present at 13 sanctioned tournaments. East Coast Soccer Waza LLC. has 14 trainers playing on 5 different professional teams or top collegiate teams including the national pro beach team, 2nd Division National Champions Rochester Raging Rhinos 10,000 per game, NPSL (National Professional Soccer League) Philadelphia Kixx with 9,400 per game, USISL (United Systems of Independent Soccer Leagues) conference Champions, South Jersey Barons 1,500 per game. We train 30 different teams in 15 different clubs, held 15 Waza camps and were represented at 7 different tournaments. West Coast In 2000, we implemented the Waza Way in California by regional representative, Philip Scicluna based in the Silicon Valley area through Coaches Clinics and camps. Did You Know? Over the past few years our trainers have been making school appearances working together with the DARE and School-to-work programs. In addition to training, specialized camps, and appearances, we also have seen our Coach's Clinics become very successful. Our Coach's Clinics are a "foot" on experience emphasizing practical training techniques that are proven to get the quickest results. Our trainers work in tandem with other camps, clubs, and trainers when requested. We are the producers of Soccer Waza Training Videos, we organize 3v3 soccer tournaments, International Exchange Programs, scholarship alternatives, merchandising and "Next Level Waza" fitness programs.
